Hello and welcome to Ms. Laura’s
Superstars! My name is Laura Satterwhite and I’m very excited to again be
teaching 4 year old classes this year at CCDC.
This is my sixth year at
CCDC and I have been teaching four and five year olds for approximately 12
years. My education is in Music Therapy and Child Development and I previously
worked for many years in psychiatric facilities with children with behavioral,
emotional and mental difficulties. I later found my home however in the field
of teaching, where I plan to stay for a lifetime! Previous to my employment at
CCDC, I also had the wonderful opportunity to start my own state accredited
school, where I served as co-director, as well as the 4 year old lead teacher.
I am thrilled to now have the opportunity to focus on teaching and the children
that bless my life each day.
I am also blessed to be
married to my wonderful husband Craig who works for “On The Border”
restaurants. We have one beautiful 16 year old daughter named Brooke who will
be a junior at Flower Mound High School this year. Our family is completed by a
10 year old Bichon named “Wishbone” and a 4 year old Abyssinian mix cat named
“Sienna”.
I am a native Texan, begin
born and raised in the Dallas area, and my family now resides in Flower Mound.
My husband and I have also lived in San Francisco and Austin, but we now prefer
raising our daughter and working near “home”.
