Hi! I just wanted to introduce myself to those of you who do not know me already, and give a little background information about myself. My name is Dawn Hayward. This will be my fifth year at CCDC. The time has flown by while having so much fun! This will be my third year to teach 4’s, and I am truly looking forward to it. Last year was such a pleasure and I feel confident that this year will be the same.
My background is in Elementary Education. I received my degree (with kindergarten certification) from North Texas State University in Denton. I have taught almost all grade levels over the years and found each one a pleasure in its own way. I taught in Lewisville I.S.D. for nine years before coming to CCDC. My last position in LISD was as a kindergarten teacher.
I live in Lewisville with my husband Ed, and our 17 year old son, Conor. Conor will be a senior this year at Lewisville High School. Conor and I work at Market St. in our “spare” time.
I enjoy cooking, reading, and teaching children. I truly am looking forward to teaching your child this coming year. I know that they will teach me as much as I am able to grasp! Kids always do, and it’s a great way to stay young (which is a bonus at my age!)
