My name is Catalina Escobar and I have a B.D. in Journalism and a diploma in Early Childhood Education. I have worked with kids for five years in private preschools. I am from Colombia but I have been living in the United States since 2003 because my husband was relocated by his company.
We moved to Dallas in December and I started working at CCDC in February of this year. I also enrolled my kids in the school since then. My son is now starting kindergarten and my daughter will continue in the four-year-old class. I really love my job, especially being the teacher in the MDO’s because I deeply enjoy the little ones’ fondness and curiosity.
I am also teaching Spanish at CCDC which I consider a great opportunity for children to learn a new language nowadays. I love to sing, play, and read stories to my students and keep them happy throughout the day.
